Many have pointed to the importance of ritual in use throughout human history when it comes to religious and spiritual ceremonies, rites, and transitions, but did you know that ritual is just as important to the experiential arts?

Creating rituals, both for use outside of the "magic circle" and within it, can be a powerful and important tool for both participant story-making in-role, as well as instituting healthy boundaries and facilitating productive processing out-of-role.

In this talk, we will discuss useful ritual-making tools that can be used to create moments of transformational play, as well as ritual techniques used in professional settings to aid actors in sustaining wellbeing over time.
